Going Green

Much more than a fleeting trend, green is the wave of the future

Green is a big component of the holistic approach to health, and a more complete healing experience can be experienced when you’re not inhaling toxic gases or absorbing toxic chemicals. In addition to using organic oils and organic-cotton linens Luminesce integrated low-toxin paints, and uses non-toxic cleaning supplies. The effect?  People are blown away by the difference in energy.  It just feels cleaner here.

Tara Grodjesk, president of Tara Spa Therapy , predicts that clean feeling should soon start to permeate massage practices everywhere.   “Massage therapy is about health and healing, so the environments themselves need to be healthy,” Grodjesk says.

Organic Oils

Choosing organic fruits and veggies isn’t the only way to nourish your body with the purest of plants.  Organic oils, lotions and creams also nourish your body.  Adding additional stress to your body in the form of added chemicals and preservatives is unnecessary.  Organic lubricants are made from plants grown without the use of planet-harming pesticides and are less likely to irritate the skin.

Cleaner Cotton

About 25 percent of the world’s insecticides and more than 10 percent of its pesticides are sprayed on cotton, according to the Organic Trade Association. Of the top 15 pesticides used on cotton in 2000 in the United States, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) classifies seven as “possible,” “likely,” “probable” or “known” human carcinogens.

The Green Clean

Even the cleaning products at Luminesce are “green”.  Every product is eco-friendly, without dyes or scents.  No bleach or chemicals are used and that makes for a healthier planet, healthier environment and a healthier you and me.
